A trusted importer’s and supplier’s of renowned international food products, that caters to over a hundred and forty (140) high-end resorts, airline lounges, restaurants, cafes and local grocers. It also owns a food provider store, a bakery and recently developed a state-of-the-art, twin island agri-farm growing fruits and vegetables adopting Worlds best practices as a leading environmentally focused company.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, and highly motivated candidate to manage our team.
PROCUREMENT MANAGER
Key Responsibilities:
- Check stock levels, identify purchasing requirements and process orders.
- Maintain and update records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices.
- Coordinating with freight forwarders for shipping cargo in a timely manner.
- Reviewing purchase requests from other Departments and facilitate purchase of products.
- Manage necessary documentation for shipping from the point of order to warehouse.
- Pass supplier Invoices to Accounts Department with no delays for timely payments for suppliers.
- Ensure all documents are in order for customs clearance.
- Monitor vessel tracking and prepare documents for cargo clearance.
- Check received goods against purchase order.
- Deal with non-supplied, under order, over orders and damaged goods.
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure all products are received in good condition and properly stored.
Requirements:
- At least 05 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain management.
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and good communication skills.
- Familiar with vendor management process.
- Data analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
- Strategic decision-making skills.
- Experience on demand forecasting.
- Preferably a Maldivian having knowledge of import documentations and industry regulations & procedures.
- Experience in FMCG including food service industry is a must.
