Assistant Finance Manager 

Job Purpose
Assist the Finance Manager in the supervision of the daily activities relating to the Bank's finance, accounting, tax, audit, budgeting, reporting, administrative and treasury functions whilst ensuring all process and procedures are being respected and are in line with local regulation and MCB Group norms ..

Responsibilities 
• Assist the Finance Manager in the supervision of the daily activities relating to the Bank's finance, accounting, tax, audit, budgeting, reporting, administrative and treasury functions whilst ensuring all process and procedures are being respected and are in line with local regulation and MCB Group norms .
• Provide appropriate information to Finance Manager to substantiate the Bank's Balance sheet and Profit & Loss entries
• Verify, mainly in absence of Finance Manager, the accuracy of all accounting entries related to closing of books posted and calculated by team members for the preparation of monthly accounts in line with set standards and procedures within the given delegated authority Limits
• Generate all the management accounts on timely manner for the preparation of monthly accounts
• Preparation of ALCO Statements
• Purchasing of Treasury Bills and Bonds
• Purchase approved amount of foreign currency from Treasury Head Office.
• Assist in the monitoring and safekeeping of all the SLA's for the Bank
• Monitoring of Cards Related Transaction and Monitoring of all internal Accounts
• Fixed Assets monitoring and Maintenance
• Provide input in the development plan for the team to promote a knowledge management strategy.
• Monitor performance metrics of the BU, identify deviations and take corrective actions on a regular basis to meet set objectives and increase profitability

Requirements
• ACCA/ CIMA/ Degree or equivalent qualification in the field of Accounting & Finance
• Atleast 3 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance or related field
• Knowledge of Accounting Principles & Practice/Financial Analysis
• Strong Knowledge in Microsoft Excel & Power Point
