General Requirements
• Bachelor’s/Master degree in Pharmacology, Chemistry or Biology
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
• Regulatory Affairs Certification (if any)
• Familiar with regulatory requirements of Maldives Food & Drug Authority (MFDA)
• Thorough understanding of local pharmacy regulations & approved drug list by MFDA
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a relevant field
• Good English communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Job Specification
• Documentation and approval of Class 1 Pharmaceuticals and other licensing & permit processes as required
• Ensure & maintain an up-to-date MFDA documentation for inspections and approvals
• Ensure hospital complies with the Maldives & international regulations
• Application for Certificate of Pharmaceutical Product, Good Manufacturing Practices, Free Sale Certificates for import & product approvals from international vendors
• Prepare & submit pre and post-approval submissions for pharmaceutical import products
• Renewals of registered products and pharmacy license
• Implement effective strategy in sourcing various drugs in coordination with Procurement Department
• Ensure preauthorization for controlled medicine
• Ensure efficient & effective communication with all relevant departments and stakeholders
• Provide regulatory and administrative support to Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee
• Stay updated on all regulations concerning Pharmaceuticals practices
• Identify gaps in supply chain and develop strategy to resolve the issue
• Develop process flows for ordering various need of the pharmaceuticals
• Review documents received from quality assurance reports from the vendor
• Carry out any other duties as instructed by the management
