RESORT DOCTOR
JOB BRIEF:
The position of Resort Doctor holds significant importance within the Human Resources department of Kandima Maldives. The primary duty of the Resort Doctor is to deliver exceptional and personalized healthcare to both employees and guests, ensuring a high standard of safety and well-being.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide immediate medical assistance in case of emergencies or accidents within the resort premises.
- Offer general medical care and first aid to guests and staff for non-emergency medical concerns.
- Conduct consultations for guests requiring medical attention and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
- Promote health and wellness among guests and staff through educational initiatives and preventive measures.
- Establish connections with local hospitals and clinics for referral and coordination in case of more serious medical issues.
- Ensure the resort adheres to health and safety standards, including sanitation and hygiene practices.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all resort-related medical incidents and treatments.
- Conduct training sessions for resort staff on basic first aid and emergency response procedures.
- Communicate regularly with resort management regarding health-related matters and recommendations for improving guest and with the Head of HR regarding staff well-being.
- Collaborate with local health authorities and emergency services to enhance the resort's overall medical preparedness.
- Be available on-call or on-site as needed, especially during peak seasons or special events.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- MBBS or MBBS with postgraduate degree / diploma or with equivalent qualification in any medical discipline.
- Min 3 years’ experience as a Medical officer in a health centre with at least 1 year as a doctor in a resort.
- Must have experience of working in an island resort or a medical centre of a remote island.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must have valid registration from the Maldives Medical council
- Responsible individual with commitment to work
