As a Cargo Operations Executive, you will be an integral part of our Cargo Operations Department, playing a key role in the efficient execution of cargo operations, air waybill processing, and overseeing airport operations related to cargo handover, loading, and unloading. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring compliance with industry standards, flight supervision, and guaranteeing the proper handling of cargo at Velana International Airport on behalf of the company. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Air waybill Execution: Execution of air waybills, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
- Documents Processing: Handle and process all documents including air waybills and stakeholder documents meticulously to facilitate smooth cargo operations.
- Airport Operations: Actively participate in airport operations, coordinating with relevant personnel to ensure the timely and secure loading and unloading of cargo.
- Flight Supervision: Provide supervision for cargo-related activities during flights, addressing any issues promptly to maintain operational efficiency.
- Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with airway procedures, industry regulations, and company policies to uphold operational standards.
- Cargo Handling: Supervise the proper handling of cargo at airport, implementing best practices to minimize risks and ensure service integrity.
- Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to streamline processes and enhance the overall efficiency of cargo operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A’ Level or higher qualification in a related field.
- Proven experience in cargo operations within the logistics or aviation industry will be an added advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and address issues promptly.
- Proficiency in basic software applications and documentation systems.
Salary and Benefits: MVR 10,000 - MVR 12,000
