Society for Health Education (SHE) is looking for a suitable candidate for the following post.

PART-TIME PSYCHOSOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDER


Qualification: Diploma in Counselling with a minimum of 100 hours counselling practice in an agency setting.

Requirements:

  • Should be a Maldivian.
  • Training and experience in working with young people.
  • Basic working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Divehi
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Willing and able to multi-task.
  • Focused and target oriented.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Able to work extended hours and travel on occasions when required.
  • Carry out the duties in accordance with SHE’s policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Respond to and document incoming helpline and face-to-face clients.
  • Work with the team to provide psychosocial services to service seekers.
  • Follow good standards of practice and care, which requires professional competence; good relationships with clients and colleagues; and commitment to and observance of professional ethics.
  • Coordinate with relevant SHE departments to ensure integrated service delivery.
  • Assist in preparation of timely, reports and statistics for official work done
  • Supporting and providing input into IEC resource development
  • Participating in awareness programmes held in the islands, such as health festivals, screening trips and multi-purpose health trips.
  • Attending radio, television and other public relations presentations on request
  • Perform other related duties assigned by the Director

Working Hours: 3.5 hours
Working Days: Sunday to Thursday (except weekend and all public holidays)
Duration: 6 Months
Salary Range: MVR 5,000
