The CTO is responsible for shaping the technological landscape of the Bank by overseeing the Bank’s technology infrastructure, driving digitilisation and innovation and implementing digital solutions to optimise operational efficiency and customer experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CTO will work closely with the executive leadership team to align the Bank’s IT strategy with the overall strategy and objectives

As the CTO, you will:
▪ Develop and implement a forward-thinking IT strategy that is aligned with the Bank's business objectives
▪ Manage the Bank's IT infrastructure, guaranteeing its reliability, scalability, and security while complying to local and international regulatory standards.
▪ Lead digital transformation activities to improve online banking services, customer experiences, and process automation in order to keep the Bank competitive.
▪ Keep up to date on local and international banking legislation and cybersecurity standards to ensure the Bank's IT practices stay compliant.
▪ Implement robust cybersecurity measures and ensure business continuity through effective IT disaster recovery planning.
▪ Collaborate with external vendors and technology partners to analyse and implement solutions that are in line with the Bank's strategic goals.
▪ Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments, regulatory authorities, and key stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business objectives.

To be successful in this role you will ideally have:
▪ A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information technology management within the banking or financial services industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
▪ A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
▪ Sound knowledge of banking technologies, such as core banking systems, payment systems, and digital banking solutions.
▪ Sound knowledge and experience of cybersecurity best practises and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
▪ Proven successful track record of fostering innovation and executing breakthrough technology solutions.
▪ Excellent organisational and leadership skills.

Remuneration:
An attractive executive remuneration package and benefits package will be provided. This will be negotiable based on experience and personal circumstances.
