Reservations Agent - Velassaru Maldives

The Reservation Agent shall be responsible for carrying out all necessary and relevant tasks to facilitate efficient functioning of the Reservation Department and he/ she should work closely with the central reservation & sales team to achieve and or exceed target revenue.

Requirements / Qualification 

  • Minimum 1 year of working experience in a similar role in 5-star Resort 
  • Proficient in English (Written and verbal) 
  • Passion and potential to handle various responsibilities. 
  • Good interpersonal skills and team player. 
  • Ability to adapt to a diversified team.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

  •  Processes reservations by email, telephone, and fax or Central Reservations referral.
  •  Processes reservations from the Sales office, travel agents, OTAs or direct bookings.
  •  Service tour operators, travel agencies, OTAs and direct bookings in the relevant country areas and those located locally as well.
  •  Understands the hotel's policy on reservation guidelines.
  •  Ensure a high level of product/services knowledge of the resort and local area.
  •  Knows the selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
  •  Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
  •  Prepares confirmation letters as per standard.
  •  Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the Front Desk team.
  •  Monitors room pick up and forecasts and reacts where and when necessary.
  •  Updates and maintains the channel manager.
  •  Responsibilities include: Compset, Group bookings, Daily and conversion reports.
  •  Manages OTA inventory rates and special offers through the channel manager.
  •  Support the Sales & Marketing Department in maximizing occupancy and rate to achieve and/or exceed target revenue.
